While the winters almost seize the majority of activities in the city, the best to visit around is preferred to be May through September. These are the most happening months to be in Calgary as during this duration most of the annual festivals take place - Calgary Stampede (July). Though winters offer good spots for ski lovers and allow children to have some fun in the snow, however, it also restricts most of the outdoor activities. April and October are a bit less crowded months, so if you are a solitude lover, that should be the option for you. Nevertheless, as always advisable, book your hotel and flights tickets well in advance to save on ticketing costs and have fun while the city is in its full bloom.
